TV SERIES PRODUCTION: RED BANDS SOCIETY AND LES BOMBES

I’ve been working on the production of props for various assets (prints, motion graphics, and scenography) for television. At that time the workload was heavy and the deadlines were very tight, so I can’t recall which project was which. Anyway, we had great fun producing all these.

(Below, a little snippet of the intro of Red Bands Society)

Here’s the packaging of a chocolate tablet that was meant for a hero shot:

We developed this one to look just like the real thing, since hero shots are in the foreground and therefore require the same level of detail as the actual object.

This one, on the other hand, was so gross that they actually told me not to look at the reference material, which was a spine surgery video on YouTube. But since I felt brave at the time, I decided to watch it anyway; spoiler: I deeply regretted it.

By the way, we also had to recreate some X-rays for a scene where a surgeon was operating while looking at the X-ray terminal. So we came up with this set of images, pretty cool stuff.

A few scenes from Les Bombes (a pilot show) required us to produce many UI assets for different websites and applications. Here are a few of them, which later needed to be animated.

To give the animation team maximum flexibility, we created all these assets in vector format. Many elements, such as messages, were placed behind masks so the team could animate scrolling text properly.

And here’s a set of graphics we developed for different college scenes, many of which promote community services.

TL;DR
