T.M.K.F.
Motion design
This is a project I developed for Marco Simioni, an artist and sound designer from London, in collaboration with The Designers Republic studio (known for their work with Warp Records and Aphex Twin).
The studio provided the artwork: a striking, gritty cyberpunk design. The title TMKF literally means This Machine Kills Fascists. Marco explained that he drew inspiration from American folk musician Woody Guthrie, who painted the phrase on his guitar in 1943. Ian, head of The Designers Republic, added that he built a module based on the real swastika symbol to construct the artwork.
I then adapted the graphics for the social media launch. First, I made a premiere launch video, and then I created 12 additional variations, one for each track of the EP that is playing.
The songs are still unreleased, so for now it’s not possible to showcase them along with the animations.
